Biggest Energy Box in Tyrol, Austria
Holiday Camping in the very popular region Seefeld, known for the Olympic winter games 1964 and 1976, offers a 300,000 sq ft facility for up to 140 campers. Besides the camping facility arpartments and rooms are for rent both in teh witner and in teh summer season. After the increase of oil prices the owners decide to get independent from fosil fuels and decided to use wood pellets as their source of heat.
"The advantages are enormous, not only that the owner can save a lot of money, he also reduce hid carbon emissions for heat to almoust zero", says ÖkoFEN CEO Ortner.
Savings of about 17.000,- Euro per year
The costs for energy were increasing the last few years. The facility needed about 13,600 Gallons of heating oil per year for hot water and heating the little hotel. Afer switching from oil to pellets the owner saves about 17.000 € per year and knows that he is not depending on foreign fossil fuel to have his home warm.
380,000 lb less CO2 per year
The environment has to deal with 380,000 lb CO2 less than before. That is equivalent to the reduction of 1 Mio. cars on our roads!
