Correct selection and sizing of the flue is very important for the efficient functioning of the heating system. The cross-sectional area of flue required depends on different factors such as the nominal heating rate and the effective height of the flue. We recommend obtaining a calculation from the flue manufacturer.

In new buildings the installation of a corrosion-resistant flue is absolutely essential. For renovation of an existing flue or chimney different systems are available from various manufacturers – please ask your heating engineer or contractor for further information.
