Space saving textile silos in new lower height design

OkoFEN expands the FleXILO Compact series with lower height models

With the new Flexilo Compact, OkoFEN –Europe’s specialist in pellet heating- presented already in 2011 the newest innovation for pellets storage. A patented concept allows to store in the same space 60 percent more fuel than with conventional pellets silos. OkoFEN now presents the new series of lower-height silos FlexiloCompact, so that the space-saving textile silo can also be used in rooms with 6.6 ft (2 m) height.

The new OkoFEN FleXILO Compact with lower-height design, represents an intelligent product variation of the space-efficient textile silos series. The new Flexilo Compact allows to store in the same space more pellets as in a conventional pellet storage system. Thus, it is especially suitable for buildings with limited available space.

Especially in refurbishment cases the available room and space is often restricted. With the new FleXILO Compact design a clear height of only 6.5 ft (1.97 m) is needed. Thus, the new FleXILO Compact can now be used in rooms with a ceiling height of 6.6 ft (2 m). Despite the low height, the special technique of the FleXILO Compact guaranteed a high storage capacity in a confined space.

A 60 percent increase of pellet storage capacity is made possible thanks to a high sophisticated pellet conveying system. The proven combination of tension-springs on the outside and an elastic angular floor inside the body of the silo guarantee a complete discharge of the pellets: While decreasing the fuel content, the side walls and the bottom of the silo fold automatically in the ideal angle, so that the internal auger conveyor is continiously supplied with pellets.

Given a concrete floor is made and the FleXILO Compact is protected against rain and direct sunlight it can also be used outside next to the building.

All Flexilo Compact series models have the proven benefits of OkoFEN textile silos technology, such as dust-proof special textile and anti-static woven metallic threads. The new Flexilo Compact textile silos are available in five different sizes from 5.91 x 4.59 x 6.6 ft (1.8 x 1.4 x 2 m) to 8.53 x 8.53 x 6.6 ft (2.6 x 2.6 x 2 m), with a storage capacity from 1.8 to 6.5 tons of pellets.

Thanks to the development of the FleXILO Compact product family, ÖkoFEN now offers even more flexibility in the design of pellet storage solutions for its pellet boilers.
