Greenpeace installs an ÖkoFEN Pellet heating system
The Mundo-B office building is situated in the center of Brussels. The building is the home for 26 environment organizations like Greenpeace, Friends of the Earth, Max Havelaar and Seas at Risk with about 250 employees. One year ago a remodeling project was started with the goal to make the building a showcase for renewable energy.
The environment activists decided to use an ÖkoFEN Pellematic system for the new carbon neutral heating system. The reasons for that decision were the long time experience of ÖkoFEN and the well known quality of the products. ÖkoFEN is selling its Products in 13 European countries and has already installed about 27,000 of its Pellematic systems. The heating systems are produced in Austria and shipped form there to the different markets in Europe. ÖkoFEN was the the first manufacturer who could offer a certified woodpellet heating system in central Europe in 1997. Since then the market developed and the cooperation grew from a one man show to a network of about 260 employees.
Therefore a 240,000 BTU/hr Pellematic system is heating the Mundo-B offices and the fair-trade-cafeteria in the center of Brussels.
"For us it is a big honor when a world leading environment organization like Greenpeace decides to use our products", points ÖkoFEN CEO Herbert Ortner out.
